Cruncher was created to promote professional practices when it comes to developing Web applications in C# & ASP.NET.

Instead of simply dumping your CSS and JavaScript code into the final application, using Cruncher lets developers easily merge and then compress the final result into one or two files delivered via as few HTTP requests as possible.

This cuts down page loading time while automatically optimizing resource delivery mechanism without severely affecting the developer's working methods and patterns.

Everything is done automatically under the hood without too much involvement from the developer (outside the original library configuration).

This lets him focus on the task at hand, writing the best code for his app, and not running source files through various compilers and optimization toolkits every time he makes a change.

Besides optimization routines, Cruncher also comes with a series of built-in preporcessors included, letting developers also write their code in the variant they like, may it be SASS, SCSS, LESS, or CoffeeScript.

Cruncher automatically compiles the developer's code to the proper CSS and JS, all before the normal optimization operations.

Cruncher can also follow internal CSS @import statements, comes with its own self-cleaning caching system, and with "Can I Use" and AutoPrefixer integration.
