When properly setup, the admin of a website can inspect how site visitors have used the site by activating a simple click tracker.
The logged results will be shown using blue dots on top of a semi-transparent overlay pulled over the page.
The button that reveals the heat map must be hidden from the users, either in an admin panel, under a password field or in a secure authenticated page.
Used properly, jQuery Heat Map can be a real asset for webmasters and Web designers, helping them understand what works and what doesn't in their site's layout and content.
