With jBookMark, a user can mark a line as important like in a desktop text editor and return to it when needed.
When creating a bookmark, it will be displayed on the left side of the page using an image marker.
To prevent over-crowded pages, the developer can the maximum number of allowed bookmarks, or it can even use a custom color for highlighted bookmarks.
To create and manage the bookmarks, jBookMark uses a set of keyboard shortcuts.
Bookmarks can easily be added (mouse click + B) and then the user can step from one to the next (pressing N).
Pressing Shift+N will step through bookmarks backwards.
The created bookmarks can also get removed (when not needed anymore) by either clicking on them or pressing the D key (all get removed in this case).
Requirements:
- JavaScript enabled on client side
- jQuery 1.3.2 or higher
Limitations:
- The bookmarks will be lost when navigating away from the page.
