Using the MVC development paradigm is usually done via complex, bulky JavaScript frameworks that are not only hard to code with, but also come with lots of drawbacks like immense documentation pages, huge file size, and a steep learning curve.
Gillie adds MVC support to your application at under 5KB of data, implementing basic models, views, and controllers (or handlers), using techniques found in other open source projects like jQuery, Backbone.js, and Underscore.js.
Why implement MVC in you application? Because it allows developers to reuse much more code, cut down application size, and improve overall speed.
It also allows developers to manage the application much easier, dynamically adapting to user input via handlers, customizing the behavior via models, and controlling the app's output/response via views.
This means Gillie can produce highly interactive JavaScript applications, without adding to much bulk to the app's source.
What is new in this release:
- Add support for passing full URL to model request method.
Requirements:
- JavaScript enabled on client side
- jQuery
