FusionDirectory is an open source, platform-independent and free web-based software written in the PHP server-side language as an infrastructure management application that allows you, as the system administrator, to manage users, groups, workstations, servers, services, as well as the deployment of software and operating systems in a network.

It provides all of the aforementioned operations directly from a single, easy-to-use, modern, multi-language and powerful web user interface that works with any modern web browser, including Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, or Opera. The software is designed to work only for Linux and UNIX-like environments.

Supports any type of LDAP server

An interesting feature of FusionDirectory is that it supports any type of LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) server, which will be considered by the application as an organized storage. Among the supported LDAP server, we can mention ApacheDirectory, Sun Directory, as well as 389-Directory from the Fedora Project.

The application lets you to protect the content of the LDAP tree, allows users to access multiple LDAP trees simultaneously, enables interaction with non-LDAP apps, and offers various FusionDirectory triggers that can be used to launch a certain action. Supported CPU architectures include 64-bit (x86_64) and 32-bit (x86).

Plugins, lots of plugins

FusionDirectory comes with a plugins package, distributed alongside the main source archive of the program. The plugins archive brings a wide range of plugins that will definitely enhance your FusionDirectory installation.

Among these, we can mention an addressbook, suppor for FreeRADIUS server, support for Apache 2 web server, support for Asterisk PBX, a dashboard, DNS support, Fax support, DHCP support, quota support, Samba support, SSH support, and sudo support.

In addition, it supports the ProFtpd FTP server, the Puppet system administration software, the Nagios system monitoring application, the rsyslog synchronization utility, the Squid proxy server, as well as many other powerful web technologies.
