DidJiX is an open-source operating system derived from the Arch Linux distribution and built around the Mixxx application, in order to provide you with a hassle-free DJ tool that boots directly from a USB or CD media.
Distributed as a dual-arch Live CD image
The operating system is distributed as a dual-arch Live CD ISO image of approximately 300MB in size, due to the fact that is includes only the Mixxx software and its requirements.It is supported on both 32-bit and 64-bit systems, and must be burned onto a DVD disc or written on a USB thumb drive of 512MB or higher capacity in order to boot it from the BIOS of a computer.

The OS has no boot menu, which means that it starts automatically from the moment the user boots it from the BIOS of a PC, using either a CD disc or a USB stick. The Mixxx application will load in about 5 to 10 seconds, depending on your computer’s specs.It includes the Gangnam Style song by PSY as a sample audio file for users who are new to the Mixxx application, helping them to learn how to use it. The software is a complex and open-source digital DJ system that includes essential functionality for every DJ.
You will be able to import your own playlist and audio files. Supported audio file formats include MP3, OGG and WAV. However, be aware that the distribution includes an old version of Mixxx.
In order to quit or restart the operating system, simply access the File menu and press the Exit option. You’ll be automatically redirected to a command prompt where you can either press Enter to quit the OS or CTRL+C to restart it.
