GitHub is today's main service for code hosting and collaboration. It's a free service that allows developers to work together on software projects, helping each other with code and reviews.
When someone contributes to a GitHub repository, that action is called a "commit", a term used to describe his contribution and change made to the code.
Commitment is a jQuery plugin that uses the official GitHub API to retrieve a repository's recent commits and display them as a vertical list on a Web page.
The plugin will retrieve the commit comment, the date it was submitted, the GitHub username that made it, the link to that user's profile, and his avatar.
All this information is put together and displayed on the page for easy reading.
A demo is included with the Commitment plugin download package.
