Bittixlinux is an open source distribution of Linux designed only for the 64-bit architecture and based on the award winning Debian GNU/Linux operating system. It is built around the lightweight Xfce desktop environment.
Boot options and availability
It is available for download as a single and hybrid Live DVD ISO image that can be written to a DVD disc or deployed on a USB flash drive of 2GB or more. It provides users with a boot prompt that includes several useful options. For example, users will be able to try the operating system without installing anything on their computers, with default settings or with two different screen resolutions. It is also possible to boot the live environment with a Slax kernel, using the VESA framebuffer, or by copying the entire contents of the Live DVD to RAM.
As mentioned, it can run only on machines that support the 64-bit instruction set architecture. Please keep in mind that the Live DVD uses the username bittix and the password bittixlinux9 for login.
