Behave.js transforms a bland textarea into a fully-working IDE, rendering it capable of recognizing code input, and adding special formatting as the user types.
Textareas are universally considered dumb text zones because there's very little formatting or logic involved with this UI element. It simply allows the user to enter any desired text, in any way he wishes.
Behave.js comes to fix this problem, but only with a series of well-known code writing shortcuts and text input patterns, found in most cases in all desktop IDEs.
The library's parameters allows developers to adapt its behavior to target a specific programming language and all of its input quirks.
