This is a constellation mapping tool that draws a chart of a selected constellation configured to show objects of the users choice. This tool is primarily designed for observational astronomers interested in observing deep sky objects. Chart objects include Tycho-2 and selected variable and double stars and the following deep sky objects: 1. Messier. 2. Caldwell. 3. Herschel 400. 4. NGC. 5. A List of user defined objects.
The tool also contains a number of other features and utilities, including: 1. Star Magnitude selection. 2. Which types of star to show. 3. Which types of Deep Sky object to show. 4. Constellations presentation options. 5. An NGC Filter to limit which NGC objects are shown. 6. Find any object. 7. List all Objects for a constellation. 8. Add, delete and maintain a list of user objects. 9. Printing. 10. Mouse object context help. 11. Chart zooming.
