Apache MyFaces is a Java Web framework developed at the Apache Software Foundation to simplify the process of writing JSF compatible applications.

JSF, or JavaServer Faces, is an official Java specification, included with the Java EE platform, specification that standardizes the way component-based user interfaces need to be built.

MyFaces closely follows this standard, delivering a collection of modules and APIs for building such user interfaces from Java code.

The MyFaces framework is modeled after Apache Struts, but lots of differences to properly deal with JSF's unique architecture and design.

Three UI-Component Sets are included with MyFaces, Trinidad, Tobago, and Tomahawk, just in case you need a quick UI for your applications.
