Apache Commons Validator uses a local XML file to take its data validation rules from, so basically by modifying one single local file, developers can have full, dynamic, near real-time access to their validation patterns.
Support s also included for locales, validation rule grouping, errors messages, and support for different validation rule sets based on a predefined criteria.
As you can imagine the package can be quite helpful, especially in situations and application where data conformity and security play important factors.
Validators are available for common tasks, utilities, and data types like dates, time values, timezones, numbers, currencies, percentages, number formatting rules, emails, IP addresses, URLs, domain names, check numbers, ISBN codes, and so on.
