UPC is an application designed to easily make strong passwords for multiple accounts by transforming the information a person knows, or has, into high-entropy passwords. This enables one to use far stronger passwords than they could ordinarily use from memory alone. Ultra Password Creator is useful when one:
- Wants to easily produce very strong (high-entropy) passwords from memory - Needs to create a strong master password for a password manager - Wants strong passwords and have no plaintext copy that could obtained by an adversary - Requires a password for systems requiring manual password entry - Doesn't want the risk of saving passwords on post-it notes, in the cloud, or anywhere else - Travels with protected data and wants to avoid the risk of carrying plaintext passwords - In some legal circumstances it may be beneficial to have data secured with a password which is a derivative of a secret, for which no copy exists and is potentially beyond one's ability to memorize. - Wants to distribute fresh passwords to distributed groups of people without having to communicate with the group for each password refresh
