By default WordPress allows editors to enter a password and uses it only for the current page. Unless the same password is used for all site protected pages, going to another page, or a child page will require the editor to set a new password and the user to enter it again.
Smart Passworded Pages changes the way password-protected pages are treated by WordPress.
It works on top of the page sitemap, allowing parent pages to be used as central login hubs for all their child pages.
So if the webmaster has entered the same password for Page A and all its subsequent Subpage A1, A2, etc., when the user enters his page password for Page A, he will be authenticated on all Page A subpages. Also he'll immediately be redirected to the first Subpage, A1.
As you can see this is a rudimentary system that allows admins to transform their WordPress sites into a private, client support center, allowing the webmaster to setup various support sections on his site for clients, giving them a password, and deciding which pages he can login and view.
Installation:
Unpack and upload it to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress.
