Raw HTML

The Raw HTML plugin is made up of two parts.

The first is its raw HTML posting support, that lets editors add HTML, CSS or JavaScript code to a post without being automatically removed or altered when saving the post or switching between the WYSIWYG editor's raw and visual modes.

This can be very annoying since WP's default formatting rules aren't exactly developer friendly and tend to generalize all text to some basic (out-dated) standards.

The second part of the plugin is a metabox which gets added to the post editing screen in the WP backend, which is comprised of four checkboxes that allow the editor to disable various built-in formatting rules.

These options are:
Disable wptexturize
Disable automatic paragraphs
Disable convert_chars
Disable smilies

Raw HTML is recommended for developers that have numerous times tried to edit the HTML and CSS of a post or page in the past and have found it very difficult to save their changes on a per-post basis without having to edit the overall style.css file.

The difference between the free and commercial version of this plugin is that the Pro Version supports switching between the WYSIWYG editor's raw and visual modes without messing up the previously entered HTML, CSS and JS code.

Installation:

Unpack and upload it to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress.
