Open Source Emoji

Open Source Emoji adds a specific shortcode system that can be used within WordPress to embed Emoji icons.

The plugin comes with two icon sets for two different emoji icon styles.

Installation:

Unpack and upload it to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress.
