Google Authenticator for WordPress changes the way users log in on the site.
On top of the username and password, users will also require to enter a one-time password, generated every time they log in.
This one-time verification code is presented as an SMS, voice call, or QR code.
Once this extra code is entered, users can access the site.
Each user can generate his own individual access keys, which admins can revoke in case users forget them.
Admins can also force users to use two-factor authentication, they can enable users to login on the site via the classic username&password method (as an alternative), and also set a limit on how many times users can utilize this method.
