Hystrix

Designed as a fail-safe system, Hystrix can help webmasters manage latency periods and prevent cascading failures inside a distributed server system.

In layman's terms, Hystrix works as a acircuit breaker, containing system failures to isolated clusters and forcing fast-failing mechanisms and the system into a rapid recovery mode.

Hystrix also enables real-time app monitoring, allowing the administrator to keep in touch with his systems and receive alerts about any problems.
