Clean Nuke is a fork of the PHP-Nuke CMS, a content management system not maintained anymore.
While you might ask yourself why use such an old project to run your sites, the answer is quite simple.
In most cases some shared hosting providers don't want to upgrade to newer versions of PHP to avoid breaking various of their services, or because clients and contracts ask or require them not to.
So if you're one of those developers that's stuck using an older, deprecated hosting plan, Clean Nuke can be quite useful, providing a CMS that can easily be installed and used with those specs.
Since it's a PHP-Nuke fork, original features are included, starting with the installation assistant, and ending up with the CMS backend administration panel.
Themes, modules, database backups, forums, and photo galleries are also supported, providing a basic array of tools webmasters can use in creating their sites.
Requirements:
- PHP 4.3 or higher
- PHP's zlib and GD extensions
