Popcorn was created for less-technically savvy people that still want to hold some control over their video player's interface, even if they don't really want to delve too much into JavaScript coding.
Easy to customize via CSS, Popcorn allows developers to add their own styles to the HTML video element, while still retaining all its original features.
The player is cross-browser tested, works with mobile devices, and with responsive layouts.
Clicking on the player's canvas pauses and then plays the video, while the original right-click menu is left intact.
Default player controls include a timeline caret, a time display, fullscreen controls, mute volume toggle, and the standard play/pause button.
A sample Popcorn player is included with the download package.
