In Web design, there must be balance between the elements on a page. You can't have a player looking one way and a player underneath looking in another way. This problem usually occurs with different technologies used for native content and for remote content.
minPlayer is a simple JavaScript API for various video playback technologies, allowing developers to embed videos in various formats and from multiple sources all at a time, without the player interface looking different from video to video.
minPlayer can work with both Flash and HTML 5 videos, and can play local videos or remote movies from services like:
- YouTube
- Vimeo
- Kaltura
- Limelight
- DailyMotion
The minPlayer interface is fully customizable and at the developer's disposal, while its core can also be extended via a (separate) plugin system that allows programmers to easily add new features to it.
Requirements:
- JavaScript enabled on client side
- HTML 5 enabled browser
