The jQuery Easy Ticker Plugin can be used for displaying vertical news tickers, perfect for showcasing large lists in smaller sections of a page.
The widget is highly-configurable and allows developers to control the number of viewed items, the direction in which the scrolling happens (up/down), the interval each news story is shown on the site, and the speed at which it is rotated.
