BrickWork is an evolution of the Freewall jQuery plugin, working in the same way, but with a few extra features.
The plugin gives developers even more control over they layouts, helping them build pages that show a collection of elements that get displayed with as minimal space between them as possible, tightly fitting them so there's a minimum amount of whitespace on the page.
BrickWork includes support for showing elements using a custom direction, controlling the gaps between elements, fitting them all inside a small container, nesting grids inside other grids, and using CSS 3 animations to filter elements in and out of view.
This last feature is ideal for building filtering system for large data sets, and coupled with drag and drop support allows developers to build interactive and responsive grid layouts.
Examples and usage instructions are included with the BrickWork package, along with some ready-made grids that mimic the Pinterest and the Windows 8 Metro look.
