blinkTitle.js was created as a mechanism to draw the user's attention to your page's tab.
This can be done by flashing between two sets of page titles, showing one and then the other.
These titles can be made to blink indefinitely (which is quite annoying) or just for a small period of time.
The effect can be applied to the current tab when focused, or when the user moves to another tab, while off focus.
There are JavaScript functions to start and stop the page title blinking on demand, so you can easily create play/stop buttons and add them to your page.
A blinkTitle.js demo is included with the download package.
