Su is basically a stripped down version of the Susy responsive grid toolkit, the engine that makes it work.
Su only contains the basic utilities to create columns and rows that resize and shift content around the page at different viewport widths, being a tool that you can use to either build your own custom grid system or frontend frameworks, or to port other tools to the wonderful world of SCSS.
This toolkit lets developers build both symmetric and asymmetric layouts, letting developers decide how many columns to use with just a simple variable declaration.
Custom gutter widths can be setup the same way, Su working with uniform gutters for all of its columns.
