Bourbon is a Ruby library for adding extra support for various mixins in Sass. Neat is a CSS framework written in SASS using some of the Bourbon mixins, ideal for creating website that adhere to the famous & intensely hyped "Responsive Design" concept.
Basically Neat can be used for creating fluid columns that resize and rearrange themselves as the viewport is modified via a resize event or when loaded on devices with smaller screens.
Neat allows plenty of customizations, starting from the number of columns, rows, margins, padding level, and gutter presence.
These will allow developers to adapt the Neat grid to their own projects without having to edit the entire Neat source, but just a few parameters here and there.
What is new in this release:
- direction-context() {...} mixin changes the direction inside an entire block. No more reset-direction()! (25496b1)
- display-context() {...} mixin changes the display property inside an entire block. No more reset-display()! (4eb67b8)
- outer-container() now takes a max-width argument. (af4c2fe)
- Full compatibility with Sass 3.4+ and Libsass 3.0+
What is new in version 1.7.1:

- display-context() {...} mixin changes the display property inside an entire block. No more reset-display()! (4eb67b8)

What is new in version 1.6.0:
- Added:
- Multiple media queries support to the media() mixin, including queries such as orientation.
- Updated:
- Use Sass 3.3 and silence !global variable warnings.
- Fixed:
- Use absolute percentage widths for table displays. The last element is no longer narrower than the rest. This also breaks alignment with the block-based grid.
- Passing table no longer adds padding to elements. If you need padding, you'll have to add it manually going forward.
- Removed:
- Omega no longer supports table display. Removing padding should be done manually on the target element.
Requirements:
- SASS 3.2 or higher
- Bourbon 2.1 or higher
