Nucle-DOS is an advanced, freely distributed and simple to use DOS (Disk Operating System) operating system that supports modern technologies like FAT32 partitions, run on virtual machines and can be used to run various software packages that won’t work on newer machines.
Distributed as an installable-only ISO image
The Nucle-DOS operating system is not an open source project, but it can be downloaded for free from Softoware or directly from its official website as an installable-only ISO image that has only 4 MB in size and can be deployed to either a CD disc or a USB flash drive.Boot options
The user can use the CD or USB bootable medium to boot Nucle-DOS from the BIOS of his/her computer and start the installation. You will be greeted by a boot menu, from where you can install Nucle-DOS on a local drive, access the Fdisk utility to partition your disk drive, view a help screen, as well as to enable or disable the single-stepping functionality.Installing Nucle-DOS
To install Nucle-DOS on your personal computer, you will have to press the Enter key on your keyboard with the “Install Nucle-DOS” boot option highlighted, press Enter again when you see the A:\>x:\SETUP\SETUP01.EXE command, and follow the steps displayed on the setup screen (partition your disk drive, install the bootloader and copy files).Getting started with Nucle-DOS
