LeafyLinux is a free and open source OS based on the Bodhi Linux operating system, which in turn is based on the world’s most popular free distribution of Linux, Ubuntu. It is built around the modern and attractive Enlightenment desktop environment.
Distributed as a dual-arch Live DVD
This custom Bodhi Linux remix can be downloaded from Softoware or its official website (see link above) as a single, dual-arch Live DVD ISO image that supports both 32-bit (i386) and 64-bit (amd64) instruction set architectures.
Boot options
When the Live DVD starts, it will present users with a text-mode boot prompt where they must hit the Enter key on their keyboard to access the boot menu, which will allow them to start the live environment with default options or in safe graphics mode, perform a system memory diagnostic test, as well as to boot an existing operating system that is installed on the first disk drive.
Psychedelic desktop environment powered by Enlightenment
The Enlightenment desktop environment used in LeafyLinux has been highly customized and it comprises of a taskbar on the left side of the screen, a bottom panel for accessing common places and mounted filesystems or devices, as well as a system monitoring widget. You can easily access the main menu by right-clicking anywhere on the desktop.

Default applications include the PCManFM file manager, Leafpad text editor, Synaptic Package Manager, GIMP image editor, Inkscape vector graphics editor, Mirage image viewer, FileZilla file transfer client, Mozilla Firefox web browser, Skype VoIP client, TeamViewer remote desktop manager, Transmission torrent downloader, Clementine audio player, VLC Media Player, Bluefish HTML editor, Gnumeric spreadsheet editor and AbiWord word processor.
