BOSS GNU/Linux is based on the highly acclaimed and award winning Debian GNU/Linux operating system and provides users with an Indian Linux operating system distributed into multiple editions, such as an educational one, an advanced server flavor, as well as a netboot version.

Availability and boot options
This Server edition of BOSS GNU/Linux is distributed as a single, CD-size ISO image designed to help users quickly and easily install the operating system on a local disk drive. Supported architectures include both 64-bit (amd64) and 32-bit (i386).The distro offers a minimal boot prompt, from where users can just press the Enter key to start the installation process, or press the F1 key to access a help menu, from where they can view the system requirements, choose additional boot methods, as well as to enter special boot parameters.
