HubPress

HubPress is different from other blogging platforms because it doesn't use a database, nor does it use a classic WYSIWYG editing experience.

This tool merges technologies like static site generators with modern hosting infrastructures like GitHub.

A HubPress blog is hosted on GitHub, where a certain file structure dictates the way the blog is shaped and what content is found inside it.

To add a post, developers only need to add a file inside a specified folder.

To edit the blog's UI, they only have to change settings inside template files.

AsciiDoc is used for formatting the blog's text, HubPress taking the formatted text and converting it to HTML at runtime.

Other HubPress features include built-in support for Google Analytics, various social sharing networks, Disqus comments, and easy frontend theming.
