To make it work, invite your friends to join your Tree. Then, by joining Groups, you'll automatically be connected with people who share your values. You can then keep track of the positive impact you have by both using the site and by getting others involved. Once you've built a network, be sure to customize your personal home page where you can directly access all the features on GoodTree and anything on the web. To customize your page, just add, delete or move the building blocks on the page (called widgets). GoodTree will never ask you for money, and every time you do something on GoodTree, like view a banner or invite a friend, a portion of the advertising revenue generated goes to charity.
