SimpleSlider is a breath of fresh air in today's crowded "image slideshow" market, full of bulky sliders that usually take more time to load their JS code then it takes to load the actual images.
This small JavaScript component works without requiring any JS framework, has very few configurable parameters but is still able to boast some useful features.
It can rotate both text and image content, comes with basic play/pause/next/prev buttons, and even with lightbox functionality.
SimpleSlider comes with a few examples to show developers how it can be implemented, uses requireAnimationFrame for the image transitions, and also includes basic support for easing functions.
The component can also be used with AMD and CommonJS projects, and also supports a the Page Visibility API which allows it to automatically be paused and resumed when the user leaves / comes back to the page.
Besides the standalone version, SimpleSlider also comes with Polymer and AngularJS alternatives as well.
