Have you ever used BeOS? Remember that screensaver that draws icons on the screen in random sizes to prevent burn in? Well, the Mac OS has some interesting icons, too. SystemSaver is an application-based screensaver. When it sleeps, it digs out all the icons it can find in the system file then randomly picks one to draw on the screen every few seconds or so.
Of course, it has all the standard features (sleep corner, sleep now, never sleep, and sleep after n minutes). It can also handle multiple monitors! (At least, it seems to work fine for my 2 monitor setup). Plus, it has something I've never seen in any other screensaver - a progress bar indicates how long you've been idle and when the system will sleep.
What is new in this release:
- Added ability to select more than one sleep-now and sleep-never corner.
- Fixed an issue where moving the moving the mouse may not halt the screensaver on multiple display setups.
- Fixed an issue where the screen saver would not draw icons on displays other than the main screen.
- Fixed an issue with remembering user preferences after the screen saver is quit.
