City of Heroes Freedom is a free to play MMORPG where you create a super hero or villain and fight over the fictional Paragon City.
While it's quite an old game now, City of Heroes Freedom is still an excellent MMORPG, full of missions and episodes, and one of the most fun character creation experiences you'll find. If you've ever thought about making your own super hero, this is the game for you.
Starting out in City of Heroes Freedom is great, with an exciting series of tasks that introduce you to the game with some drama. Free account players can create two heroes, and develop all the way up to level 50. There are some limitations, but it's an extremely generous game and there are many hours of MMORPG fun to be had without spending anything.
One of the best features in City of Heroes Freedom is the team play - adventuring in a team of superheroes is fantastic, and there are plenty of missions that are better played cooperatively.
City of Heroes Freedom has started to look a little old, and some people might prefer the faster action of Champions Online. Despite this, it is an excellent MMORPG, and probably the most developed in the genre that you can play for free.
