pyficache

To use pyficache, just tell it what file to open and what line to go to and retrieve the code from.

pyficache will open the file in the background, parse the code (not run it) and fetch the desired line, caching it as well for future references and faster delivery times.

The library can be used from the Python console or programmatically inside other libraries or scripts.

pyficache works with both major branches of the Python language, 2.x and 3.x.

Utilities for disabling the cache, clearing the cache, getting multiple lines at once and remapping line numbers in case the file changes are also included.
