MyPhotoIndex is a very basic photo viewer with which you can directly import pictures from your camera.
The program scans your whole system (or just the folders you select) in search of images, and can also connect to your digital camera and extract more images from it.
Photos are displayed in resizable thumbnails and also in full screen, and can be tagged or added to favorites.
In fact, tagging is one of the most outstanding features in MyPhotoIndex, as it enables you to organize and search your whole collection in a more efficient way.
You can also sort them by date, group (family or friends) or event, which makes then easier to search for a certain image.
On the downside, the program's tools are quite limited - as regards photo managing - and almost completely inexistent regarding photo editing.
MyPhotoIndex is a photo viewer with tagging capabilities, but unfortunately it falls short of expectations in many other aspects.
