Rangy

The term "range" used with official W3C documentation that inspired the library's name refers to an user's selection. This means text selected with the user's keyboard or mouse, from one point to the other, single or multi-row.

The Rangy library allows developers programmatic access to this feature, but not just simple manipulation tools, but also a common handling interface that works the same across a multitude of browsers types and versions.

Rangy provides tools to get user selections, set user selections or even display them by default when the page loads.

You can see its usefulness, especially with online forms and situations where the user's focus must be drawn to an element.
