Flyer.js was created to simplify the process of sending data between iframes primarily.
Since most websites rely on a widget-like construction mechanism, sometimes data can be loaded via iframes or needs to be in sync with other browser windows.
For these situations there's Flyer.js, a library that allows developers to funnel and broadcast various messages from one event to different sources in other windows or iframes.
A basic "subscribe" system is also included, letting developers setup iframes and windows that follow a specific channel and can even filter out messages from that channel based on a specific topic.
Flyer.js is actually written in ClojureScript and then compiled to JavaScript, and its API is pretty well documented in the README file.
What is new in this release:
- Working flyer.min.js, should be 8 times smaller.
- Minor fixes to external windows.
Requirements:
- JavaScript enabled on client side
