Regular Board works like a well-organized guestbook, supporting multiple topics and anonymous posting.
Site visitors can also register to keep track of their messages, but they can also hide their name by posting anonymously.
On the other side, admins have full access over the board's content and options, options which they can easily tweak from a special section in the WordPress admin panel.
They can manage different boards, ban infringing users (by IP), modify board parameters, and embed the Regular Board on different site pages.
All in all, if you need a basic messaging board to broadcast quick messages to other site users, Regular Board can be a pretty solid solution, a lighter alternative to full-on forum plugins.
