basicFit

basicFit was created for the Ackee project, and was meant to help the developer in easily creating a responsive, square, uniform, tile grid.

The plugin basically takes a collection of elements and floats them to the left inside a desired container (can be the page body as well as a small section as well).

As the browser is resized or the page accessed from a device with a smaller screen, elements are shifted from one row to the next, and optionally resized to fit inside the smaller viewport.

Only uniform elements are supported. For uneven page elements, check out something like Packery or Masonry.
