The 'Auto Numbering Post' plugin adds the index position number in front of every post.
This is done for both the frontend and the backend.
The position numbers are assigned based on the posts' publishing date.
Changing a post date updates the entire post titles based on the new index order.
Installation:
Unpack and upload it to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress.
