Xonotic Chaos-Esque Anthology

Xonotic Chaos-Esque Anthology is an open source software project, a modified version of the Xonotic free and fast-paced first-person shooter (FPS) game for GNU/Linux, Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows systems that includes extended maps, player characters, weapons, mounted weapons, vehicles, monsters, buildable buildings, spell casting, textures, and new game modes like colorwar.

It’s distributed as an Ubuntu-based Live DVD

At the moment, the Xonotic Chaos-Esque Anthology FPS game is distributed as a Linux kernel-based distribution based off of Ubuntu and available for download via Softoware as a Live DVD ISO image that fits perfectly on a single-layer DVD disc. However, it is recommended to be written onto a USB thumb drive of 8GB or higher capacity, which can be used to boot the live system from the BIOS of your computer.

What’s included in Xonotic Chaos-Esque Anthology?

As mentioned, the project includes a wide-range of features when compared with Xonotic. Therefore, players will be able to use flashbangs, grenades, smoke grenades, futuristic tanks, medieval, futuristic and modern weapons (there are 48 weapons in total), WWI tanks, cars, helicopters, planes, mounted machineguns, the ability to fire guns at a 90 degree angle, spells, wolves, skeletons, minotaurs, potions and police.

Additionally, it includes over 100 maps, a map editor with prefabricated buildings for creating maps and per-team starting weapons, ballistic bullet penetration, realistic bullet damage, coreshots, headshots, mannable turrets, as well as zombie apocalypse, water, slime, foliage and lava mutators. The Build A Fortress, Deathmatch, Capture The Flag, Onslaught and Football game modes are also included.

Default controls

In the Xonotic Chaos-Esque Anthology game, the player must press the F key to pick up items or enter vechiles and mounted guns, press the R key to reload their weapon, press the Space key to jump, as well as to use the W A S D keys to walk.
