Dax OS Life is an easy-to-use Linux distribution that includes a modern and familiar graphical desktop interface adapted for the elders of the house, facilitating their access to new computer technologies. It is based on the Ubuntu and Debian operating system and built around the Enlightenment desktop environment.
Distributed as a dual-arch Live DVD
The Life edition of Dax OS is distributed as a dual-arch Live DVD that will run on either 32-bit (i386) or 64-bit (x86_64) hardware platforms. The ISO image has approximately 1GB in size and must be written to either a DVD disc or a USB flash drive of 1GB or higher capacity.
Boot options
From the boot menu, the user will be able to start the live environment with default boot options or in safe graphics mode, start the graphical installer to permanently install the distribution on his or her computer, as well as to boot an existing operating system that is currently installed on the first disk drive or perform a system memory (RAM) test.
