useful.viewer.js is a JavaScript library that breaks up big photos in smaller parts using PHP, and then loads only the visible portions based on the user's photo zoom level.
The behavior is similar to what you see daily on Google Maps, but packed in a simple script that any developer can use on his site.
useful.viewer.js can be used with image sliders, 3D viewers, lens viewers, and any type of widget where large resolution images are used, allowing developers to spare bandwidth and only show graphics that are actually being viewed by users.
The library comes with lots of customizable parameters, all well detailed in the package's README file.
A few widget examples are included with the download package.
Requirements:
- JavaScript enabled on client side
