Pixel can be used in two ways. The first is for decorative reasons, usually for larger resolution photos, simply applying the effect for no other purpose than the effect's results.
The second is for performance issues, the effect being very useful when applied to smaller photos, helping improve image contrast and overall quality. This can be very useful for avatars and smaller icons.
Under the hood, the Pixel library only needs one parameter, the pixelate factor. This is a simple number (n) and the Pixel library taking every "n" pixels of the original image and replacing them with a solid color in the outputted photo.
Using the Pixel library is quite easy, and the effect can be applied to different images on the same page, all with different pixelate factors.
A demo and usage instructions are included with the download package.
