cropbox uses the HTML5 File API to let users crop a larger image into a smaller thumbnail at desired dimensions.
Users can move the large image around, also zooming it in and out to perfectly fit inside a boundary box which will be used as the cropping placeholder.
Once everything lined up perfectly, the user can hit the crop button and a new image will be generated only showing the cropped area.
The plugin was built to work as a jQuery plugin, but it can also be used with standalone JavaScript projects, or with the YUI (Yahoo! User Interface) library.
Demos for both jQuery, YUI, and vanilla JS are included.
What is new in this release:
- Added manifest file.
Requirements:
- JavaScript enabled on client side
- jQuery 1.5 or higher
- Yahoo! User Interface Library
