jquery.multifile.js is a jQuery plugin that fixes HTML file uploads by providing a simple work-around that doesn't require anything more than just jQuery loaded on the page.
It does not use Flash, nor does it use HTML 5, but a pure jQuery trick to provide maximum cross-browser compatibility and avoid using polyfills or other fallback methods.
jquery.multifile.js works by allowing the user to select desired files, even if they are more than one.
Once the file has been selected, the original form file input field is hidden and another one is shown in his place.
The selected file will then appear as a small text underneath the newer file input field.
This way users can select more than one files, without the files needing to be in the same folder or without using HTML 5 multi-file selections (not supported by all browsers).
A demo is included with the download package.
