The ideal mechanism to use as a backup solution for your Web forms, jQuery DataSaver is both easy to implement and totally non-intrusive with the classic form filling experience.
The plugin works in the page's background, taking the content entered in a form field (as soon as the user focuses out of it) and saving it via localStorage to the client's browser storage.
This local storage environment is kept intact until the user submits the form and this way, if there is an accidental page refresh or the browser crashes for various reasons, the data is still intact when the user re-acceses the page.
An example and usage instructions are included with the DataSaver package.
What is new in this release:
- Changed the plugin model.
Requirements:
- JavaScript enabled on client side
- jQuery 1.7 or higher
- HTML 5 enabled browser
