Parrot and Chirp are open source user-level tools specially designed for rapid deployment for wide area file systems.

The cctools package from the download are contains Parrot, Chirp, Work Queue, Makeflow, SAND, and other tools.

What is new in this release:

  • Support for a search system call has been added.
  • Search allows for finding files in a number of directories with a shell pattern. See parrot_search for more information.
  • There are several bugfixes for cvmfs support.

What is new in version 3.7.0:

  • File extended attributes are now supported.
