MacGPG2 is the Mac OS X port of GnuPG, licensed under the GNU GPL. The aims of the project are to make GnuPG easy to install, provide a native MacOSX pinentry utility and interact with existing GnuPG tools for MacOSX.
What is new in this release:
- MacGPG2 keeps checking for new versions automatically and will tell you if one is available
- Uses the much more stable curl library to query keyservers instead of the curl wrapper included in gnupg, which is the default one if libcurl can't be found
- Supports the legacy IDEA cipher
- OpenPGP smart card support
- Uninstaller now included
- Pinentry updated to 0.8.1
- Issue 84: Enable AES-NI
- Issue 95: Added version file for homebrew compatability
- Issue 71: Bug with network shares and GnuPG home
